Yemen: Facing COVID-19 without Water Part 1
Wash your hands to fight COVID-19, you say? Well, the United Nations (UN) says 17.8 million Yemenis require support to meet their basic water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) needs. They can’t wash their hands when they don’t have water. Meanwhile they are already battling what the World Health Organization states to be the largest and fastest spreading Cholera outbreak on record. We speak to Kamal from Yemen, who shares with us about the lack of water in Yemeni villages and how their community initiative is responding to WASH needs and preparing for the potential spread of COVID-19 in Yemen.
